At .md DESIGNER, built by Ronak Munjapara, your privacy is of paramount importance. This Privacy Policy outlines how our Chrome Extension handles data when you use the tool to extract design tokens, colors, typography, and spacing from web pages.

1. Information We Collect (And What We Don't)

No Personal Information Collected

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). You are not required to create an account, log in, or provide any personal details to use the extension.

Local Extension Data Only

To provide our core functionality, the extension utilizes the following browser-level permissions, all of which run strictly locally on your machine:

• Active Tab & Scripting: Temporary access to read the computed CSS and layout properties of the active webpage only when you explicitly initiate an extraction.
• Local Storage: Used exclusively to store your app preferences, quality gates, and recent extraction history directly within your browser profile.
• Downloads: Used strictly to trigger the local file saving mechanism for your generated .md and .json files.

2. How We Use and Share Data

• Zero Remote Transmission: All design token extraction, analysis, and markdown generation happen entirely within your local browser sandbox. No data is ever sent to external servers, cloud storage, or third-party platforms.
• No Data Selling or Sharing: Because we do not harvest or store your data on external databases, it is impossible for us to sell, trade, rent, or share your data with any third parties or advertising networks.

3. Data Retention

Any preference data or history saved by the extension is kept in your browser’s local storage. This data remains on your machine until you:

1. Clear your browser cache/storage.
2. Explicitly use the "Clear/Reset" functions inside the extension popup interface.
3. Uninstall the extension from your Google Chrome browser.

4. Security

We follow industry-standard security practices for extension development. By containerizing all logic locally within the package and explicitly avoiding any external execution or remote code, we minimize any security risk to your browsing session.
